Bio

Award winning singer/songwriter Chris James has walked a long journey. Roads have taken him through the US, Canada, Mexico, and sent his music through Europe, Africa and several Asian countries. The path is a constant evolution leading towards new ventures. His band 34Below achieved success with both national and independent releases garnering radio play across the globe.

Chris is constantly writing new songs and in some cases teaming up with other collaborators. He has written songs with Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors, hit songwriter Jeff Cohen, and many others. He has shared the stage with national acts such as Sugar Ray, Hootie and the Blowfish, Lit, Vertical Horizon, The Calling, Gin Blossoms, Pete Best (former Beatles drummer), Switchfoot, CCR, REO Speedwagon, The Pat McGee Band, Five For Fighting, A.J. Croce, and the list goes on.

Currently, Chris has expanded into various side projects which include composing film soundtracks, radio voiceovers, and performing with his band Grand Sonic Theory. His community endeavors have kept him busy working with children to help put music back into the schools and supporting other charitable organizations such as The Surfrider Foundation, American Heart Association, Red Cross, and March of Dimes.
